"This poem is written for my, Dear Husband"

As  I  watch  you  rest  in  sleep
Soft  pillow  where  your  head  is  laid
Arms  relaxed  and  folded
On  a  soft  and  silky  bed

Calm  ocean  when  you  breathe
Resting  my  head  on  your  chest
Listening  to  a  rhythm  of  your  heart
As  yours  and  mine  beat  as  one

I  caress  your  skin  with  my  lips
I  whisper  in  your  ear
The  love  you've  only  known
The  magic  that's  in  the  air

As  I  close  my  eyes  to  drift
I  take  your  hand  with  mine
To  slumber  hand  in  hand
A  symbol  of  love  divine

When  the  depth  of  darkness  falls
To  meet  the  break  of  dawn
To  find  you  in  my  arms  awake
My  greatest  gift  of  joy
